Clopay^® Expands Modern Steel Ultra-Grain^® Plank Colors

Clopay is adding four new colors to its popular Modern Steel™ Ultra-Grain® Plank garage door line: Barnwood, Cedar, Natural, and Espresso.

The two-inch thick polyurethane foam insulated doors feature digitally printed horizontal planks with a wood-look appearance on insulated flush panel steel. The planks vary in length with no repeating grain pattern.

Clopay introduced Ultra-Grain Plank last spring in two colors: Kona, which is a dark brown; and Coastal Gray, a light finish that marries natural and subtle blue-gray undertones—offering a reclaimed wood appearance without the yellowing that can eventually come with wood.

“Ultra-Grain Plank has been one of our strongest product line introductions in recent years and we believe the expanded portfolio of finishes will keep demand high,” said Justin Evans, Clopay’s vice president of marketing. “The door was named a ‘Top Product Pick of 2023’ by The House Designers.”

Plank doors are a perfect way to warm up light and dark exteriors with eye-catching patterns and texture.
